I'm known as ghostchibi around the internet since around 2012. I'm a shifting flow with phases as frequent as the moon. You might find me in some odd and interesting places online, especially ones related to writing. I'm (mostly) able to speak, read, and write in Japanese. English is my native language, although it's technically my second learned language. Funny how that works, isn't it?
I represent myself as a ghost wearing blue rectangle glasses, like that thing floating up above in the corner.
Name: ghostchibi
Age: 30+
Gender: nonbinary
Pronouns: none preferred, but he/him or they/them are okay
I like a lot of things. I like the moon and the night sky. I like the clouds and the blue sky. I like wide open fields covered in grass. I like abandoned buildings. I like dark jewel tones. I like pastel shades. I like hoodies and jeans. I like high-effort outfits. I like vintage maximalism. I like sleek white surfaces with pops of color. I am not the kind of person to settle on anything.
Writing is my primary creative output. I started off writing fanfiction as a high schooler and haven't stopped since. Adapting and transforming something I like by adding my own interpretations and ideas is a huge draw for a lot of my creativity. It eventually led me into writing my own original works, but I owe a lot to my introduction to fanfiction. I used to draw much more often, but the process is long and tiring for me and I get burnt out on it easily. Despite that, I do like doodling things or photobashing.
Other than writing and drawing, I'm a pretty big fan of making physical things. I don't do it often, but I've made clay figurines, small notebooks, and jewelry among other things. I'd like to try out more serious notebook binding and get back into pottery if I get the chance.
I like video games. Paradoxically, while I love to make narrative-focused games, I really enjoy playing shooters. I have a bit of a mental block about using new software systems so I've never tried to make a 3D game of my own, but one day I might give it a try.
As a writer and artist, a lot of things have had a big impact on my writing and design sense. Here are some of them.
I'm not very active on social media sites these days. Regardless, you can find me at these places.
