While I was in Japan, I ran into a completely pointless problem: absolutely none of the gachapon machines had anything in them that I wanted. The closest I found was some P5R figurines but it was the girls + Akechi, and I only had any real interest in getting Akechi (and Joker, but I never found a set with him). No FE Engage rings gacha, no interesting cute ones at all. Even at Book Off I ended up leaving without anything because I couldn't find any FE games that I'd wanted, and absolutely no merch. Genuinely made me think I should get into at least one anime/anime-styled game just so I could buy something. What a dumb problem to have. On the other hand, B-Side Label always has designers with interesting non-fandom stickers made by their in-house designers so I ended up buying a bunch of anime boy stickers among other things.
